TrinketsMermaid, previously known as AsteroidBeads or PartyAsteroid, is a small business run by me, Feferi! You will primarily find kandi, keychains, and other silly trinkets!I picked up making kandi as a hobby in late 2020. My girlfriend gifted me some beads and string, since she had been making a lot of her own at the time. I found myself obsessed with learning new stitches and practicing making tons of different kandi. Eventually, my girlfriend stopped making kandi, but I never did!I opened my shop on Etsy in 2021! I chose the name 'AsteroidBeads,' since Asteroid was a nickname for Astrid (my old preferred name), and beads were my specialty!I had no experience with selling, so it was a bit confusing at first. I started off by selling fandom-inspired kandi, primarily Dream SMP. That was popular at the time, and I was really into it..Fast forward to 2023, I started practicing making jewelry with wire and glass beads!
There's no lengthy story for that, I just randomly decided one day I wanted to try working with wire because I saw some super cutesy handmade jewelry online!

Any jewelry I make with a character in mind is primarily inspired by the character's color palette and general vibe.The only things I do not accept are NSFW or hateful images. If your character is from NSFW media, that is not a problem! Just... please pick a photo of them with their clothes on. My mom sees the pictures you guys pick. If you wouldn't want your mom to see it, don't send it to me for a custom keychain.

Q: Where do you get your beads?
A: When it comes to pony/kandi beads & acrylic beads, I get them from Beadtin, Joann (not anymore. rest in peace), Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Daiso.. a variety of craft stores, basically! As for glass beads, it's Joann, Michaels (when there's a sale), Aliexpress and Hobby Lobby!
I am based in the US, so please be aware that these shops may not be as accessible to international buyers!Q: Where do you get your string?
